Larry R. Rose

A funeral service for Larry R. Rose, 51, of Lafayette, will be at 11 a.m.
Saturday at Chiles and Sons-Laman Lewis Chapel with the Rev. Joe Royer
officiating. Cremation will follow at a later date.

Mr. Rose, a supervisor for Lima Tank Plant, died Sept. 5, 2000, at Lima
Memorial Hospital. He was born Nov. 14, 1948, in Newark, to Betty Hankinson
Rose and the late Gordon R. Rose.

Mr. Rose, who worked for the U. S. government for more than 30 years, was a
t-ball coach for seven years in Lafayette, past president of Lafayette
Parents Association, Lafayette Pack 11 Cub Scout Leader for nine years, Cub
Master for eight years, Cub Master of the Year in 2000, and founder and
director of Allen East Soccer Association.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Sheila M. Slatzer,
whom he married June 12, 1982; sons, Lance Ryan Rose and Cody James Rose,
both of the home; daughters Mandy Marie Rose and Kaitlyn Renee Rose, both of
the home; brother, Randy Rose of Newark; and sister Elinor Rose of Stewart,
Fla.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today and 2 to 4 p.m. Friday at the
funeral home, 1170 Shawnee Road, Lima.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
