William Worden

William “Bill” Worden, 61, of Fort Dodge died on Thursday, March 19, 2009 at the Paula Baber Hospice House due to a long battle with cancer. William Douglas Worden, the son of Walter and Wilma (Cagney) Worden, was born on December 15, 1947 in Newark, Ohio. He graduated from high school and later served 8 years in the U.S. Air Force. On August 22, 1987 William was united in marriage to Kimberly Albrecht. William was employed with Fort Dodge Animal Health for 10 years retiring in 2005. Bill is survived by his wife Kim of Fort Dodge; his children Amy and Angela, both of Newport Richey, FL, Anthony, Cory and Teresa, all of Fort Dodge; three grandchildren; his father Walter Worden of Newark, OH; siblings, twin sister Sharon (Larry) Bagent of Newark, OH, Donald (Linda) Worden of Durham, NH, Rebecca (Robert) Bentz of Newark, OH, Margie (Tom) Boso of Millersport, OH and Fredrick Worden (Matthew King) of Johnstown, OH; his mother-in-law Betty Albrecht; sisters-in-law Donna (Richard) Lewis of Ottumwa and Linda (Brady) Compton of Fort Dodge; brothers-in-law Steven (Chris) Albrecht and Dennis (Tammie) Albrecht, all of Fort Dodge and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, his mother Wilma, and his father-in-law Lloyd Albrecht.

 Services:  Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 23, 2009 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church with the Rev. Lyle Hansen officiating. Interment and full military honors by the VFW Post 1856 will be held in North Lawn Cemetery.
