Dallas Dale Tyhurst, 67, formerly of Newark, Ohio passed away Sunday, June 21, 2015 in Portland, Oregon.
He was born April 8, 1948 to Albert Tyhurst, Jr. and Vonda Vicky (Bell) Tyhurst.
He is survived by his wife, Diane Tyhurst, of Portland, OR; daughter, Rachel of Hebron, OH; brother, Dana (Marsha) Tyhurst, of Frazeysburg, OH; mother, Vicky Tyhurst, of Newark, OH; one grandson, Justin; one niece; and one nephew.
His father preceded him in death in 2010.

Oh my goodness.. This breaks my heart. Dallas was a Great Friend. I will alsway treasure my memories of our times in High School. He and JR were really nice to me.

We used to call him "DD"-which he didn't like...I heard from Dallas several years ago with a " how greatful he was " to me for not sending him into the draft... At the time, he was about to become a father and the draft was not taking guys who were married and expecting a child! When his number came up, told him to get a doctor's statement and he would not be going into the Army!! I never realized that there was some good that came out of my days of working at Selective Service...He will be missed as he was so much fun during our high school days in home room! Rest in peace Dallas Dale...

SO sorry to hear this. I wasn't immediately close to Dallas, until we ended up at a study hall table. Got to know him, and we had good talks...even if we didn't get a lot of studying in!
