A memorial service, celebrating the life of Ric C. Snider, 67, of Newark, will be held on Friday, August 7, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at Criss Wagner Hoskinson Funeral Home with Chaplain Eric Holley officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home, 179 Granville Street, Newark, on Friday, one hour prior to the memorial service from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Ric was born in Newark, Ohio on March 30, 1948 to Bill and Donna (Bush) Snider of Newark. He passed away on August 3, 2015 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital.

Ric graduated from Newark High School, Class of 1966. Prior to retirement, he was a meat cutter; a semi-truck driver; and was an electrical worker with Holophane. He was a member of the International Bureau of Electrical Workers. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching baseball and was known for his great cooking and grilling skills. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and motorcycling with his wife, Linda.

In addition to his parents, survivors include his loving wife of 41 years, Linda (Jenkins) Snider, whom he married March 16, 1974; children, Eric Shane (Marie June) Snider, Rich (Julie), Rob (Susan) and Michelle; brother, Larry (Deborah) Snider; grandchildren, Rachel, Nathan, Cailin, Tanner, Paige, Peyton, Chandler, Justin and Jessica; and was waiting for the birth of his first great grandchild. He is preceded in death by one sister, Dawn Lynn Phelan.
