Lindra "Lindy" Ricketts    

Newark - Lindra "Lindy" Kay Ricketts , 69 of Newark passed away Saturday, June 2, 2018, after suffering from a long illness. She was born on June 9, 1948 in Newark to the late Jim and Hazel Bonham. 

Lindy graduated from Newark High School and from Park College. She worked at The Newark Air Force Base and Defense Finance and Accounting Services. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Heath and of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees, Chapter 310. 

She is survived by her husband, Eric Ricketts; son, Wendell (Charity) Lackey; daughter, Amy (Michael) Mangus; stepdaughter, Amy (Phillipe) Jacques; stepson, Brian (Tanya) Ricketts; grandchildren, Izzy, Ellie, Luke, Madison and Paige; and a great grandson, Brody.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Payne.

Friends and family may call 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at VENSIL & CHUTE FUNERAL HOME, 1850 W. Main Street, Newark; and one hour prior to the service at church.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at First Baptist Heath, 525 S. 30th Street, Heath with Pastor Chad Winder officiating. Burial at Fletcher Chapel Cemetery will follow a fellowship luncheon at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made in Lindy's name to Wexner Medical Development Office, P.O. Box 183112, Columbus, OH 43218-3112.
